Our Mission:
The Analy High School Education
Foundation is committed to enhancing the educational experience
of all students by raising funds and engaging the community in
support of public education. We are dedicated to making a difference
in the future of our school, our students, and the vitality of
our community.
What is an Education Foundation?
Education Foundations were formed throughout
California in response to the drastic decreases in state school
funding brought on by the passage of Proposition 13 in 1978. If
you look around Sonoma County, you'll find most schools have formed
an education foundation: a partnership between our schools and
community, matching teachers' creative ideas with the generous
resources of neighbors and friends.
Who are we?
The Analy High School Education Foundation
is directed by parents of Analy High School students and community
members, all of whom are deeply concerned about preserving excellence
in our public schools. We meet on
the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Analy Library.
Please join us!
How are we different from other existing groups?
Measure K, on the June ballot, reauthorized and increased the
existing parcel tax that supports Analy, El Molino and Laguna
High Schools. These funds will continue to support existing programs
at the three schools. Boosters and Analy Band Wagon fill critical
gaps in providing funds specifically earmarked for Analy's band
program, athletics and academics. Each of these programs has been
instrumental in supporting Analy's full spectrum quality education,
but many needs remain unfunded due to the persistent state budget
problems. The Foundation is committed to augmenting, not replacing,
the fundraising activities of the school represented by these
organizations, the School Improvement Program (SIP) and other
parent groups.
